Profile

Laurie Hall. I handle everything from conception - including input at your initial design stage if required - to moving in. No job too small, or large. I have been in the industry as a career for 35 years and covered just about every aspect of building. I am a one man operation with a team of TRADESMEN to call on as required. I do not use unskilled labour and will not "cut corners".

I am a member of the Federation of Master Builders and the Register of Warranted Builders, and have worked extensively on listed buildings. Business established in U K since 2001 having spent the previous 25 years in Australia. I have managed many new build projects as well as refurbishments and extensions, and take great pride in my work and have extremely high standards for any one working on my jobs.

Expertise

One-off projects a specialty. Carpenter by trade with a particular interest in structural carpentry and timber framed buildings. Outdoor structures, decks, pergolas, stairways etc. A building blending into the landscape is a particular interest. Have had extensive experience with steel structures. Used to working with architects, dreamers, dictators..... you name it!

A creative builder that fits in as part of the team on a project of any size and accepts responsibility. Used to keeping to a budget, recycling, coming up with solutions to individual problems, and particularly good with working relationships. Client confidence in a job done well and a pleasurable experience is my aim.

Location

Based in West Sussex, Will happily travel worldwide. Member EBC.

Pricing

Will tailor payment methods to suit client. Can give fixed quotations, work on hourly rates, or suggest ways of fitting the project to the budget. Labour only, or materials supply as well - I'm not a hardware store and see no need to mark up materials beyond cost as long as I'm paid for using them!

I am more interested in people than get rich quick schemes. My ideal job is one which enhances the lives of those concerned... assisting in making your dreams a reality is my job. I like the fact that my clients become friends and are happy to refer me to their friends.
